Delicata squash is one of our favorites. It is a great keeper (I’ve eaten some in May!) and you don’t have to peel the rind — it’s edible!

Here is more from the Farmer’s Almanac, “But even if it requires no peeling, it has to be tasty, right? Delicata is not only attractive on your harvest table but it’s so delicious as well. The creamy yellow flesh is wonderfully sweet, so you don’t need to add much to enjoy it. And it’s incredibly versatile —it can be stuffed and baked, steamed, oven roasted, microwaved, or sautéed. To prepare, slice it in half, and scoop out the seeds (which can be roasted), or slice it in rings”.

Store delicata as you would other winter squashes: at room temperature in a cool, dry spot.

Orders will be available for pick up at the locations below after 4pm on Wednesday, November 5th. Please order by Tuesday, October 28th. Your order will have a sticker with your name on it. If you do not see a sticker with your name on it, please do not take it with you!
